The glitter of the gold and multi-colored ceramic pieces that constitute the outer layer of most of the temples I visited is perhaps not what the Gautama Buddha ordered in the Madhyama Prathipadawa. Nevertheless, the temples were breathtakingly beautiful. Here are some views of the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Angkor Wat and His Majesty’s Boat Yard. Unfortunately, my battery died before I got to the Reclining Buddha.
