Bako NP, Borneo - July 2004 (31 images)
Bordering the South China Sea, Bako NP packs seven different eco-systems into a small peninsula in Sarawak. Boat rides are frequently used to get to different points of interest and trail heads. The park entrance is only reachable by a 20 minute boat ride in the South China Sea. On Telok Paku and Telok Pandan Besar trails, we came across three types of eco-systems containing some peculiar animals and plants. The most interesting was the Proboscis monkey with its elongated nose.
